What we collect
Only what the service needs: your name, email, and phone (if you give it); credit scores and report items you enter or authorize us to retrieve; the dispute letters you create and your confirmations about them; your conversations with the in-app assistant; and basic technical data (IP address at the moment you give consent, device type).
We never store your Social Security number, date of birth, or full account numbers. Letters leave those as blanks for you to complete on paper.
How we use it
- To show you your own credit information and track changes
- To draft dispute, validation, and goodwill letters at your request
- To run the in-app assistant on your own data
- To track deadlines and send you reminders
- To process your subscription (handled by Stripe; we never see your card number)
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with credit card issuers, lenders, or marketers. Card suggestions in the app are educational, link to the issuer's own site, and involve no data sharing and no compensation to us.
The assistant and AI
The assistant uses a large language model operated by Anthropic. It receives only your name, scores, creditor names, amounts, and item statuses - never your SSN, date of birth, address, or account numbers. Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit training on this data. The assistant drafts; it never files or sends anything. You review and send every letter yourself.
Who else touches your data
Supabase (database and login, encrypted at rest and in transit), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (the assistant). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement. If we add a credit-data provider, we will update this policy before your data flows to them.
How long we keep it
- Assistant conversations: deleted after 24 months of inactivity
- Score history: retained up to 7 years to match the credit reporting period
- Everything else: for as long as you have an account
You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@alphalyncai.com. We remove your credit data and conversations and anonymize your account. We retain your consent record (with the IP address removed) as proof that access was authorized, and billing records as required by law.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export, or delete your data by contacting us. You can dispute credit information directly with the bureaus for free at any time, without this service. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA, and we do not sell personal information.
Security
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted per user; no one can see another user's file. Operator access requires multi-factor authentication. We keep a written information-security program and an incident-response plan; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
Children
The service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
